About RRCAT
RRCAT, an R&D unit of Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India is engaged in the front-line areas of Lasers, Accelerators & related technologies. It was established on Feb 19, 1984 with a sprawling campus spread in over 680 hectares. RRCAT is involved in the development of a variety of laser systems and their utilization for applications in industry as well as R&D. The Centre has indigenously designed, developed, and commissioned two synchrotron radiation sources: Indus-1 and Indus-2. Indus-2 being the largest and the highest energy particle accelerator in the country. These are being used extensively by industry and researchers in the field of material and biological sciences etc. RRCAT has also developed electron accelerators for food irradiation and industrial applications, free electron lasers (FEL) in terahertz (THz) and infra-red (IR) spectral region. The technological contributions also cover the areas of superconducting radio-frequency (RF) cavities, high power radio-frequency generators, semiconductor lasers and detectors, cryogenics, magnets, ultrahigh vacuum, precision fabrication and control instrumentation. RRCAT is also hosting Atal Incubation Centers under Atal Innovation Mission of GOI named as AIC π-Hub.
About Indore
Indore, once ruled by Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, a respected queen of the Holkar dynasty, is known as the mini-Mumbai. It is the commercial capital and education hub of Madhya Pradesh. Indore is proud recipient of Cleanest City of India award for the eighth consecutive year under Swachh Sarvekshan-2025. Places to visit: Rajawada Palace, Lal Bag Palace, Sarafa Bazar, 56 Dukan, Kanch Mandir, Khajrana Ganesh Temple, Central Museum, Indore Zoo, etc. Around Indore: Mandu, Maheshwar, Ujjain (Mahakaleshwar), Omkareshwar etc.
General Information
- Indore is well connected by road, rail and air to all the major cities.
- Climate during the meet period is expected to be pleasant during daytime and night time.
- Participants are advised to make their own arrangements for onward/return journey.
- All the players in the team shall bring their own playing kit.
- All the participants must carry their official departmental Identity Cards and CHSS cards.
Boarding & Lodging
- Boarding & lodging for all the participants will be arranged at RRCAT Guest house. For those who choose to stay elsewhere, no reimbursement will be made.
- The boarding arrangements will start with Lunch on Feb 08, 2026 and will end with morning breakfast on Feb 14, 2026.
- Due to paucity of the accommodation, it will not be possible to accommodate any extra family member, other than players and managers. No request for the same shall be entertained
- The participants coming with family are advised to book a nearby hotel on their own. Such participants have to make their own transport arrangement for reaching the venue.
Number of Participants
The number of participants from each group comprises of maximum 16 players and a Manager as per guidelines of DAE Sports & Cultural Meet 2025-26.
