Important instructions for participants:
- Nature and Adventure Circle (NAC) recognizes that climbing, hill walking, trekking and mountaineering are activities adventurous in nature with an inherent risk of personal injury and it could be life threatening. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement. Participant should be medically and physically fit to be able to complete the various physical challenges posed in the nature. Participants need to be in good physical condition. Please note that Trekking is a serious outdoor activity; it’s not a picnic.
- In case of any injury, sickness, accident, death or any other casualty or loss or damage of valuables or luggage or any equipment; NAC, it's instructors, organizers, leaders, volunteers or any other person involved wholly or partially, either individually or jointly, shall not be responsible in any manner for the same and no claims of the participants, parents, guardians, relatives or friends of participants will be entertained. Each and every participant will be responsible for his/her own safety and baggage.
- In case of cancellation or change in the plan of event at any stage of the activity due to inevitable circumstances, there will be No Refund. Leader’s decision will be final.
- Any behaviour that leads to disturbing the modesty, sanctity and harmony of the activity or the participants will be dealt very strictly leading to expulsion from membership.
- Alcohol consumption or any such products strictly not permitted during the event and will directly lead to expulsion with No Refund.
- The 'Leader's' decision will be final and all participants must abide by it. No Arguments will be entertained.
- It is of utmost importance that all participants stick together in the group and obey the instructions of respective group leaders and camp leaders.
- Leave No Trace (LNT) Principles: Wilderness Ethics is to enjoy wild land without harming or impacting them. Do not litter the trails. Avoid using disposable glasses, plates etc as it increases the burden on Mother Nature. Respect Nature and environment. Do not throw plastic or any non-biodegradable item in the nature.
- While trekking, the presence of certain insects (e.g. honey-bees and wasps), reptiles (e.g. venomous snakes) and other animals is a serious hazard. Participants are requested to follow safe practices like compulsory hiking shoes, proper clothing, sweeping sleeping places and carrying appropriate first aid kits.
- Drinking water: Carry at least 2L per person for a full day's hike, and even more on exceptionally hot days. Drinking water sources may not be available on the trails.
- Trek is compulsory for participant. Swimming is prohibited.
- Enrollment is not transferable.
- Head Count: Periodic headcount of the group members is necessary and all participants must co-operate with the leaders for the same. Considering the importance of Head count, it is strongly recommended that the head count will only be in one language (as instructed by the leader) to avoid any sort of confusion.
- Leave what you find: Preserve the past, observe, but do not touch cultural or historic structures and artefacts. Leave rocks, plants and other natural objects as you find them. Do not destroy/ write on archaeological or historical monuments.
- Do not use head phones, mobiles, radios & musical instruments while trekking.
- If any participant is feeling any sort of discomfort must quickly bring it to the notice of the co-participants and leaders.
- It is advisable for the participants not to carry any costly/valuable gadgets and items like jewellery etc.
- Do carry all the essential gear as informed. In case one happens to be asthmatic or having heart related problems or having known history of Epilepsy and breathlessness, do inform the leaders at the time of enrollment as trekking with such ailments could be fatal. Please do not conceal any ailment you are having from the organisers which may land you & others in trouble. Follow the Doctors advice.
- Participants are requested to get all their doubts clear about the trek (trek schedule, difficulty level, etc) from the organizers prior to enrollment.
- Apart from the instructions mentioned above, participants had to follow all the instructions given to them on time to time.
